Host and Co-Executive Producer

Laura DeAngelis joined WestGlen in July 2005. Before taking on the role of full-time producer, Laura spent eight years in the world of broadcast news. She worked as a reporter and anchor at WLFI-TV in Lafayette, IN; News 12 Long Island and News 12 Connecticut. During her broadcast career, Laura received several Telly Awards along with a first place award for In-Depth reporting from the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists. She was also a 2005 Emmy Award nominee in the Boston/New England chapter of the National Television Academy and a finalist in the 2006 New York Festivals competition.

Laura received her B.S. and M.S. in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.  She is a New York native and currently lives in Manhattan.  When she’s not on location for a shoot or working on Health and Home Report, there’s a good chance you’ll find Laura at the beach, at the gym or enjoying time with family and friends.
